School #32 is now Fireside Elementary School

Welcome to the new Fireside Update!
On Thursday, February 2nd, a group of parents from the School Naming Design Team and future students presented our elementary's new name to the PVUSD Governing Board, Fireside Elementary School! We are the Mustangs, and our colors are Navy Blue and Red. The School Naming Design Team evaluated over 160 submissions, and students selected by vote the name of the school, mascot and colors.

I would like to thank all of those who submitted school names, the students for participating in the vote, the teachers of Wildfire for helping to facilitate the voting, and the School Naming Design Team for making this all happen. Fireside Mustangs, we have a lot to be excited about!

Congrats to the Fireside PTO Executive Board

On Wednesday, February 1st, our new Fireside Elementary PTO Executive Board was elected. A special congratulations and thank you to the following parents for taking a leadership role in our fledgling group! President: Coco Whitaker Co-Vice Presidents: Kim Lambert, Chris Gugger Treasurer: Leanna Dando Secretary: Stacie Brown We also accomplished a great deal in the general meeting. Many PTO "priorities" were identified, and the work has just begun to bring our community together.

Little Scholars and Mini Scholars Pre-school Registration Begins This Saturday

Registration will take place on Saturday, February 4th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the PVUSD Community Resource Center. Adjacent to the District Office, the Community Ed Center is located at 15002 N. 32nd St, 85032. Registration forms are available online through the Community Education Website and must be delivered to the Community Education office in person. Curriculum and Technology Design Team Wednesday, February 29th, 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Wildfire Elementary Media Center. Kindergarten Round Up, Kindergarten Registration Monday, March 5th, 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Wildfire Elementary Positive Learning Environment Design Team Thursday, March 8th, 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Wildfire Elementary Media Center. The school community is invited to attend Design Team meetings, no registration is required.

March 8th - Positive Learning Environment Design Team, 6:30 PM, in the Wildfire Elementary Media Center.

March 12th - Fireside Teacher meet and Greet, 5:30 - 7:00 PM at the Fireside Community Center.
A hot dog dinner and refreshments will be available for purchase.
